Legal Paperwork
Intended parents provide Delivering Hope CA with a Power of Attorney (POA) which allows Tracy Armatto to be the legally responsible party for the baby.
Delivering Hope CA will provide intended parents with options for legal counsel. Intended parents decide who they want to hire and then the lawyers will get everything ready to execute a Power of Attorney. This will allow Delivering Hope CA to make the decisions required for the child’s wellbeing until he or she is handed over to its parents.
What sort of decisions can Delivering Hope CA make through the Power of Attorney?
- Recieve the baby in the parents’ name at the hospital.
- Make medical decisions for the baby at the hospital if required.
- Take the baby home after hospital discharge.
- If parents request Delivering Hope CA can arrange for a Chinese Host House to provide assistance.
- Arrange for breast milk deliveries
- Allow for baby’s documents to be handed over to Delivering Hope CA in the parents’ absence, such as Birth Certificate and U.S. Passport.
- Travel with the baby to take him/her home to its parents.
- Provide twenty-four (24) hour WellCare and pediatric care for the baby, which include immunizations.
