Pediatric Care
Medical care for Newborns is crucial from the moment the child is born. Delivering Hope ensures that every pediatric requirement is met and logged in the child’s medical record if needed.
Baby is Born
- Measurements: Doctors or nurses will measure your childs weight, length, and head circumference.
- Body observations: Your baby’s temperature will be taken, breathing and heart rate, watching skin color and the baby’s activity.
- Pediatric Care: Eyedrops will be administered to prevent infections, and vitamin K will be given to reduce the possibility of leading. The baby will receive its first bath and the umbilical cord will be cleaned. Delivering Hope can provide information to new parents on how to care for their newborns. A doctor will arrive to to examine the baby within the first 24 hours of its birth.
The presence of a doctor may only be required if there have been medical issues during the pregnancy or if the surrogate needs a C-section. - Baby’s blood sample: Your child’s blood will be created to diagnose any diseases so that if treatment is needed, it can be provided accordingly.
Newborn ( 0 to 2 months of age)
During their first few weeks, newborns regularly visit a pediatrician’s office. Delivering Hope’s Newborn Care team will make sure that babies receive the required vaccinations and follow-up mandated by the State of California. All the child’s medical records will be ready for when the baby’s parents arrive.
